Position Summary:
The Simulation Education Coordinator provides project coordination and administrative support to the Education Department to support the ASA Simulation Education Network, Screen-based Simulation Products, Portfolio-Based Products, Self-Assessment Programs, and other interactive online education products.  The Simulation Education Coordinator works closely with ASA’s Simulation Education Manager and Simulation Education Specialist
Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate program activities to support educational programming in the areas of live and virtual simulation as well with portfolio-based programs. Provide customer support for all education products including, troubleshooting the Education Center (ASA’s learning management system) questions/inquiries and virtual simulation platforms.
  • Assist ASA committees and editorial boards with the coordination of the Portfolio-Based Products including Safe Sedation Training for Moderate and Deep Sedation, Self-Assessment Programs, and Simulation Education activities to support the Simulation Endorsed Network.
  • Assist in the production of content, assessment tools, and other materials to support Portfolio-Based Products, Self-Assessment Programs, and Simulation Education activities.
  • Assist in collecting budget data, checking accuracy and completeness of committee member and speaker expense reports, and coding, verifying and processing invoices.
  • Manage file collection process for meeting materials, collaborate with Marketing and Meetings departments, and prepare files for print and/or online production.
  • Proofread reports, presentations, program materials and communications of the Education Department.
Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required, including previous experience working in an administrative function in education or administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and/or Association Management Systems software preferred.
  • Sound administrative strategies and tactics that promote excellence in responsibilities.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
