Position Summary:
The Accreditation and Joint Providership Coordinator will serve as a key member of the Education team. Reporting to the Accreditation and Joint Providership Manager, this individual will:

  • Work closely with the Accreditation and Joint Providership Manager to coordinate and support the ASA Joint Providership Program (JP) and assist with the department’s goal to maintain Accreditation with Commendation.
  • Work closely with JP customers and coordinate all aspects of JP educational activities to ensure compliance with ACCME Standards and Criteria and ASA Policies.
 
Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support the Joint Providership Program (JP) by maintaining checklists and dashboards necessary to communicate the status of JP educational activities. Monitor and inform manager of any areas of concerns.
  • Assist joint providers with completing the JP application and providing disclosure information in a timely manner. Input information into the association management system, disclosure system, and learning management system.
  • Establish positive rapport and communication with joint providers and assist them in completing and submitting all forms and information needed by deadlines. Review all materials for compliance.
  • Request all marketing and promotion materials from JP customers and review for compliance with ACCME requirements and ASA policies.
  • Build course pages in the Learning Management System using ASA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Work with JP customers to test functionality and ensure all elements of the activity are correct.
  • Collect participant information from JP customers and enroll them in activities. Assist in resolving any enrollment issues and assist individuals with creating accounts if needed. Provide reminders to participants and monitor activity completions.
  • Assist manager in collecting evaluation data needed to analyze activities. Provide evaluation data to JP customers.
  • Check assigned mailboxes and handle or forward customer inquiries as appropriate.
  • Check PARS reports, correct errors, and add to ABA upload list.
 
Position Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience. Previous experience supporting continuing medical education or interest in these fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and functional competency or ability to be trained on Association Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Convey disclosure system, and ACCME PARS.
  • Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multi-level staff, volunteers, members, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Including Notepad++ and Ablebits.
  • Familiar with or willing to be trained on the ACCME Standards, Criteria and Policies and continuing medical education credit system.
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues and operational guidelines of continuing education for medical professionals, including ACCME, MOC, ACPE, and ANCC accreditation criteria is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Strong customer service skills. Clear oral and written communication including experience with internal and external teams that may involve project coordination, information sharing, and resolution of problems.
