Lower your anxiety with 9 evidence-based coping tactics that Dr. Saper will share at this month's Coffee & Contacts. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nDr. Clifton (Cliff) Saper\, a Clinical Psychologist specializing in youth and family treatment\, is the Lead Psychologist for the AMITA Health System and the Director of Clinical Services for the Behavioral Medicine Service Line.\n\n\n\n Dr. Saper received his undergraduate degree from Brown University\, Providence\, Rhode Island and his Master's and Doctorate from Loyola University/Chicago. His research was in the area of diagnostic labeling of children. \n\n\n\nHe has presented to numerous community and professional groups and has written articles on ADHD\, Autism\, Bullying\, Stress Management\, Managing Classroom Behavior\, Parenting\, Hypnosis\, Couple's Therapy\, Family Therapy\, Panic Disorder\, Sex\, Drugs\, and Rock and Roll\, Adolescence\, Supervision\, Self-Care\, Expressive Therapies as Integral to Behavioral Health Treatment\, The Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. He is the lead clinician for the AMITA Health Crisis Response Team and recently designed virtual support groups for front line healthcare workers during the pandemic. The groups have served over 800 employees. He is the representative from Illinois to the American Psychological Association (APA) Council of Representatives. He sits on the Executive Committee of the Illinois Psychological Association and is an APA site visitor to Internship Programs.\n\n\n\nHe is a docent at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. He is also a member of the Therapy Players\, an improvisational comedy troupe.
