Charlene Quint is a family law attorney in the Chicago area who focuses her practice on helping women overcome domestic abuse. She wrote the multiple award-winning, ground-breaking book Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers to help victims of domestic abuse become the fearless victors they were designed to be. She is the founder of AbuseCare (www.abusecare.org) , a nondenominational faith-based organization designed to provide hope and healing to women on their journey from victim to victorious and to educate and equip businesses and faith communities in caring for victims of domestic abuse. She is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional, an advocate for victims of abuse, a facilitator of multiple support groups, and a domestic abuse survivor. As an advocate for victims of domestic violence, she has been a speaker in front of thousands of people at TEDx, events, conferences, and university settings and has been interviewed on numerous tv shows, radio shows and podcasts. She has helped over a thousand women leave and heal from abuse, and become the strong, victorious women they were made to be, living lives of freedom and peace. She is the recipient of the Augustana College Alumni Humanitarian Award for her work with survivors of domestic abuse.
Ms. Quint currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Northern Seminary. She has served on the Board of Regents and as an adjunct professor of business law at Trinity International University, and she has served as a board member at the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies. She currently serves on the Board of Elders and on the worship team at Gurnee Community Church. She is the author of Angels of Ebermannstadt (DeepRiver Books 2012), Blessings, Prayers and Heartsongs (DeepRiver Books 2014), and contributing author of Family Celebrations (McNeel 2018) and the Reproductive Revolution (Eerdmans 2000). She received her BA (summa cum laude) from Augustana College and her Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Ms. Quint lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, two cats, and a fluffy golden retriever. She is the mother of three amazing adult children, and godmother to numerous children. She enjoys piano, music, skydiving, skiing, snorkeling, traveling, hiking, and adventures with God.
