Leadership Luncheon-Responsible Influence through S.M.A.R.T. Management

Brian Smith, PhD is the Managing Partner at IA Business Advisors, an international business advisory firm that he founded in 1996. IA has advised more than 20,000 business owners, executives, managers, and employees across all 50 United States and in 32 countries. When Brian is not doing advisory work for clients, he is writing for The "I" in Team Series which he co-authors with his daughter, Mary Griffin. The re-release of Individual Influence: Find the "I" in Team in 2022 became an international best-seller and topped charts in various categories. Their second book, Positive Influence: Be the "I" in Team, was released internationally on April 4, 2023, and is setting sales records around the world.

Brian will expand on the foundational ideology explored throughout the book series; the idea that our individual influence is our single greatest responsibility. He will discuss the ways in which this belief has shaped his business management philosophy and how S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely) goals and tactics come into play. Brian will offer examples and suggestions of ways to shift the way you think of “S.M.A.R.T.” goals, from a stationary perspective into actionable tactics.
