It seems like hardly a day goes by, without some mention in the news about a data breach, cybersecurity or identity theft issue. In fact, last year’s breach statistics exceeded 2014, with staggering reports of small business data breaches, making 2015 “The Year of the Small Business Breach.” The National Cyber Security Alliance reports that over 70% of security breaches target small businesses with less than 250 employees. These businesses are often less equipped to protect sensitive company data and have dedicate fewer resources to fighting cybercrime.
Most identity fraud originates from a sensitive, personal information breach in the workplace.
Join us for a presentation, mini-workshop, and discussion with Brain Davidson, CPA, CFE, Manager of the Fraud and Forensics Services Group, and Certified Fraud Examiner at CDH, and George Vroustouris, CIPA. Principal at Undo Identity Theft, a Certified Identity Protection Advisor, and Adjunct Instructor at Harper College.
Brian and George will provide an overview of the risk for identity theft and fraud in the workplace, and the impact in can have on individuals, and your business. Attendees will take part in a security management mini-workshop, learn proactive industry standard best practices, and participate in a lively Q&A!
