She works with survivors of childhood sexual abuse\, intimate partner violence\, sexual assault\, and sex trafficking. She specializes in the treatment of dissociative disorders\, PTSD\, and other comorbid disorders. She provides individual psychotherapy and facilitates psychotherapy groups for female survivors of childhood sexual abuse and for adult survivors focusing on the impact of trauma on sexuality and sexual intimacy. \n\n\n\nIn this presentation\, Dr. Grace Tomas-Tolentino will discuss the impact of interpersonal trauma on women's lives. Specifically\, she will talk about types of trauma\, antecedents to victimization\, responses to trauma\, trauma-centered treatment and resources\, and support systems. This presentation offers attendees a perspective on women survivors' journey of healing from interpersonal trauma.\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Tomas-Tolentino is a board member of the Northwest Illinois Component Group of the International Society for the Study of Trauma & Dissociation and a member of the Victim Services Committee of the Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force in Illinois.
