DESCRIPTION:Join us for a great breakfast\, networking and presentation at our monthly Good Morning Schaumburg.  \n\n\n\nSponsored by Lavelle Law\, Steve Migala and James (Jim) Voigt will be giving a presentation on "Exit Planning for Business Owners"\n\n\n\n\n\nSteven Migala is an attorney with Lavelle Law\, Ltd. engaging in banking\, corporate\, real estate and estate planning and probate matters.  He graduated from Bradley University with an undergraduate degree in Finance\, obtained his law degree from the University of Illinois\, and was an editor on its Law Review.  In his banking practice\, Steve represents banks and other financial institutions in the negotiation and documentation of commercial loans and counsels them in connection with loan workouts and foreclosures.  Steve also acts as an outside general counsel to numerous entrepreneurs and privately held firms through the course of their formation\, operation and termination\, whether by way of acquisition\, merger or dissolution.  His estate planning and probate practice includes representing such entrepreneurs in connection with their estate and succession planning needs.  Steve has experience with a variety of real estate transactions\, including sales\, purchases and leases.\n\nMr. Migala has a wealth of experience acquired in both large and small firm settings and is active in the Chicago Bar Association\, having served as the Chair of its Corporation & Business Law Committee in 2006-07.  He is also a member of the Village of Streamwood's Plan Commission.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJames Voigt is a transactional attorney with Lavelle Law\, Ltd. engaging in corporate transactional matters and shareholder/member disputes.  He graduated summa cum laude from Benedictine University with a degree in Management and Organizational behavior and obtained his law degree from The John Marshall Law School.  In his transactional practice\, Jim handles asset and stock sales\, exit planning\, complex business structures\, contract/lease negotiations and general corporate matters.  He also represents majority owners\, minority owners\, or companies in shareholder or member disputes and works alongside Lavelle Law's litigation practice group as needed when disputes cannot be resolved without court action.\n\nJim served as President of the Corporate Law Association while at John Marshall Law School and initiated the annual Corporate Ethics Awards recognizing local attorneys annually for their ethics in business transactions.  He is currently involved in children's ministry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Naperville\, Illinois and sits on the board of the Native American Tribal Equality Foundation.  He is a pro bono advisor to the not-for-profit organization Grind 180 Dominion Mentorship and provides pro bono assistance to families and individuals struggling with debt management and collection issues.
