Followed by a Village update that can't be missed!\n\n\n\n Jonathan McGee\n\nDeputy Director of Regional Economic Development with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity \nJonathan McGee is a social entrepreneur\, civic leader\, and external affairs expert with over 7 years of non-profit\, public sector\, and social impact experience. He currently serves as Deputy Director of Regional Economic Development for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Prior to this role\, he founded The Global Organization for Applied Political Leadership\, the first of its kind global training incubator for advocacy\, specifically focused on lower socioeconomic communities of color. Jonathan is an Adjunct Professor for West Virginia University\, where he teaches Event Planning in the Reed College of Media. \n\nHe also served as a Legislative Assistant for U.S Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX 30). His legislative portfolio included the following issue areas: Agriculture\, Foreign Affairs\, Energy\, Education\, Telecommunications\, Science\, Space\, and Technology. Lastly\, Jonathan worked for the Partnership for Public service\, a nonpartisan\, nonprofit organization that seeks to revitalize our federal government by transforming the way government works and inspiring a new generation to serve.\n Matt Frank\n\nDirector of Economic Development with the Village of Schaumburg\n\nMatt has been with the Village of Schaumburg for the last 20 years. He has held positions as a Planner\, Economic Development Manager\, Assistant Director of Community Development and now as the Director of Economic Development. Matt is also very active in the community serving on the Board of Directors of the Schaumburg Business Association\, the Schaumburg Park Foundation and The Backyard Experience. \n\n\n\nXochitl Flores\n\nBureau Chief of Economic Development for Cook County\n\nXochitl Flores is the Bureau Chief of Economic Development for Cook County. In this role\, Flores oversees the activities of the three departments within the Bureau\, which include the Department of Planning and Development\, Building and Zoning\, and the Zoning Board of Appeals.  She is responsible for leading the work of the Bureau\, collaborating with the seven counties of northeastern Illinois and the City of Chicago to develop and implement initiatives to grow the regional economy.
