Position Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Associate will assist with the development and execution of MarCom plan tactics for the team. This position executes and coordinates campaign tactics, including emails, social media, print and electronic ads, web updates and more.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Work with Marketing and Communications staff to develop and maintain promotional calendars and adjust as needed.
  • Execute MarCom plans including the creation of promotional materials e.g., direct mail, brochures, web content, emails, videos, digital ads, etc.
  • Coordinate campaign logistics (and tactics) to ensure all elements are on message – reflect member value - and are delivered on time.
  • Review available data to assist with product pricing and make recommendations for placement and promotion to differentiate and better position ASA in the marketplace.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure tactics are delivered on time, alerts manager in advance of any potentially missed deadlines.
  • Regularly report sales to ensure monthly revenue goals are met and marketing mix is resulting in sales, collaborate with necessary business units.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators for marketing campaigns to ensure marketing mix is resulting in traffic to web pages and conversion rate is high.
  • Use Google Analytic campaigns, Search Engine Marketing – including Google Ad campaigns and third-party digital advertising, email and web analytics to monitor and report on campaign, adjusts campaigns as needed.
  • Stay current on innovative marketing trends that can be incorporated into ASA campaigns to help marketing effectiveness and revenue.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a marketing role. Experience working with a sales team is preferred.
  • Association, and/or agency experience preferred. Membership marketing experience a plus.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills required. Knowledge of AP Style a plus.
