Position Summary:
Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, problem solving, implementation, design, security, and overall efficient operation of ASA’s corporate LAN/WAN, computing and communications infrastructure. Supports all ASA information systems by maintaining the network and communications infrastructure, providing reliable access to all networked computer systems, and ensuring backup and data integrity of all information stored. Provides backup Help Desk/Tier 2 desktop support. Provides support and general administration to the ASA communications systems. Works collaboratively with all ASA staff and consultants to support the technology needs of the Schaumburg and Washington, D.C. offices.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or other with a minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • CCNA, MSCE, CCNA Security, CCNP or CCSP a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft networking technologies using Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of the following experience:
    • Direct experience in planning, implementing, and maintaining a network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Designing, implementing, and maintaining virtual server environment.
    • Maintaining a Windows server environment.
    • Maintaining MS Exchange, with at least 2 years in Exchange 2010.
    • Planning, implementing, and maintaining network storage for servers, file sharing and database applications.
    • Scripting and administration using Windows Powershell version 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience supporting remote access technologies like VPN, RDS, and other web-based remote access tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of network technologies including routing protocols, traffic engineering techniques and application network imprint (VOIP, WEB, Multicast).
  • Working knowledge and experience with industry standard anti-malware/security software and monitoring tools.
  • Ability to provide best-in-class customer service.
  • Effective technical documentation skills.
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting ability required.
  • Ability to explain policies and procedures and establish effective working relationships required.
