Position Summary:
This position ensures that data and reports in the Association Management System (AMS) database have integrity and validity. Runs reports to validate data and manages cleanup processes. Directly creates or assists in the creation of reports and queries for regular or ad hoc usage as they relate to membership, membership dues, and membership renewal. Analyzes data, performs calculations and identifies and resolves key barriers/problems. Provides reports and data assistance to ASA staff, member leaders, committees and components.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Serves as membership functional expert for AMS. Works with Senior AMS Data Analyst to maintain, enhance and upgrade database processes to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of membership processes and data.
  • Responsible for fulfilling membership reports and data requests for both internal and external customers. Analyzes data for trends, insights, accuracy.
  • Performs regular quality control reviews on membership data to assure the maintenance of high quality data; corrects data in database.
  • Assists with the annual renewal billing for all ASA members including pre and post control queries and database updates.
  • Generates and delivers monthly ASA mailing lists for Anesthesiology and MONITOR vendors.
  • Generates and delivers the monthly new member kit files for vendor.
  • Provides consistent and accurate research, information, and analysis to the Director and Department Managers.
  • Provides Unified Billing components with an accurate list of their lapsed members. On a regular basis, generate component reports for address changes and new members.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in related field; medical association experience desirable.
  • Experience in data analysis and the preparation of data reports.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Outlook and other productivity focused tools.
  • Experience with association management systems (Personify, netFORUM, IMIS, etc.) highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant statistical and reporting software tools.
  • Well-developed quantitative analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop good relationships with members and co-workers.
